Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for PRN/On-Call coverage at Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, LA. The role focuses on performing high-quality x-ray exams, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining equipment and data integrity in PACS/RADIANT.

Minimum ARRT and CPR certification with a Louisiana license; 3–5 years of radiology experience preferred. Day shifts available in a supportive healthcare environment committed to compassionate care.

• ARRT certification and CPR certification required.
• State license as Radiology Technologist in Louisiana required.
• Three to five years radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiography equipment and perform procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to ease anxiety.
• Input and verify patient data in PACS/RADIANT systems.
• Maintain supplies and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure safety and quality control, and coordinate with radiologists as needed.

The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards to ensure optimal department functions: Demonstrates skills and knowledge in use of all x-ray equipment and performance of all x-ray protocols and procedures. Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing high quality exams within the appropriate length of time for procedure.

Your Everyday

Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in use of all x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures and producing high quality exams.

Explain procedure to patients/families and answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns.

Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome.

Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed.

Maintains supply levels.

Clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, immediately report dangerous conditions to the appropriate person.

Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT.

Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone and follow all quality control checks.

Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.

Contribute to the team by assistingothers without being asked.

The Must-Haves

Minimum

• ARRTandCPR certification.
• State of Louisiana Radiology Technologist license.

Preferred

• Three to five years radiology experience.
