Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Radiographer to perform diagnostic radiographic exams per established protocols, producing high-quality images to support accurate diagnoses. You will ensure patient safety and comfort, educate patients about imaging, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver exceptional service.

The role requires an Associate's degree and NM RRT license (or temporary) with current BLS; ARRT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiography or equivalent.
  • New Mexico Radiography Technologist license (RRT) or temporary license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT certification preferred at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations per established protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging.
  • Review images for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain imaging equipment, supplies, and room readiness.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, quality assurance, and safety rules.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols, producing high-quality images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and exceptional service throughout the imaging experience.
  • Transport and position patients appropriately, prepare examination rooms, and maintain an efficient patient workflow.
  • Review radiographic images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring optimal diagnostic results.
  • Inspect and maintain imaging equipment, supplies, and accessories; ensure radiography rooms are properly stocked and operational.
  • Adhere to departmental and organizational policies, procedures, quality assurance standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) initiatives and other departmental quality improvement activities as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support outstanding patient care and operational excellence.
  • Stay current with advancements in imaging practices through continuing education, professional development opportunities, literature review, workshops, and in-service training.
  • Attend departmental, organizational, and educational meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Education
  • Associate's degree
Required Licensure & Certifications
  • New Mexico Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or Temporary New Mexico Radiography Technologist License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Certifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Radiography Certification [RT(R)] at time of hire
