• Produces high quality diagnostic images with minimal patient exposure.
• Following ALARA standards.
• Ensures correct use of shielding, lead aprons, and gloves.
• Maintains radiology equipment operation and records.
• Reviews requisitions and physician orders for proper procedures.
• Identifies patient and test accuracy.
• Processes radiology imaging requests efficiently.
• Handles infectious waste and maintains cleanliness.
• Answers patient questions and telephone inquiries.
• Provides back-up coverage and assists in daily/nightly office routine when needed.
• Orders radiology supplies if applicable.
• Assesses equipment errors and coordinates service with vendors.
