Job summary

Amberwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patient service needs by building rapport with patients and families. You will ensure radiology equipment operability, produce high-quality images, and follow ALARA, safety, and HIPAA guidelines. The role requires completing a JRCERT-accredited program and Kansas LRT license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required Education: Successful Completion of JRCERT accredited education program.
  • Minimum Required Licenses: Kansas State Board of Healing Arts LRT.
  • Minimum Required Certifications: ARRT (R) certification, BLS
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year as staff or student technologist; preferred 3 years as staff technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with patients and others.
  • Ensure operability of radiology equipment and report problems to supervisor.
  • Produce high-quality radiographs by following established standards and procedures; adjust as needed.
  • Acquire images by properly preparing patient, positioning, and manipulating equipment.
  • Follow ALARA principles to set exposure factors for quality images.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to radiology safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies.
