Job summary

Elitra Health /Affiliated Physicians is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform screening Mammography, CT, X-ray and DEXA scans. The role requires NY certification, ARRT credentials, and at least basic imaging experience.

This in-person, per diem position runs a single 8-hour shift from 6:45am to 2:45pm with hourly pay. The candidate will adhere to MQSA and State requirements, maintain patient confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring high‑quality

Qualifications

• Licensed and NY certified radiologic technologist
• ARRT Certification required
• 2 years medical imaging experience preferred

• MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammography, CT, Dexa and X-ray scans
• Prepare patients for radiology procedures and explain procedures to reduce anxiety
• Apply radiation protection techniques and ensure patient shielding
• Follow safety standards and operate all required equipment
• Conduct QA testing to comply with MQSA and state regulations
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate data entry
• Prepare reports and data per MQSA and state requirements
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and monitor image quality

Further Job Description is:

• Specializes in the production of screening mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
• Licensed and experienced with Mammo, CT, DEXA and X-Ray scanning, processes and procedures.
• Prepares patients for the radiology procedure.
• Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Practices radiation protection techniques by using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills.
• Follows prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
• Examines digital images for image quality.
• Insures equipment is in proper working order at all times.
• Performs all required QA testing required to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Processes routine paperwork and all required data entry.
• Prepares all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements.
• Excellent customer service and high quality clinical skills are required.
• Must be certified in the state of NY.
• Hours 6:45am - 2:45pm

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
