Job summary

Qualifications

• Vocational / Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• 0 - 1 year working in a Radiology department in a hospital environment (Preferred).
• ARRT-certified Radiography (R) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ARRT certification and BLS must be current and in good standing.
• Must comply with department protocols and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures per department protocols.
• Identify patient according to hospital policy.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed as per patient record or physician orders.
• Explain the exam/procedure to the patient and/or family.
• Set up the procedure room and equipment for the exam.
• QA the exam on PACS before release for interpretation.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patient and staff.
• Maintain and document quality controls for equipment and imaging systems.
