The Radiographer - OR Advanced Procedures works as a member of the Operating Room team of medical professionals. Under the direct supervision of a Surgeon or Interventional Radiologist, is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing scrub or circulator functions. Specializes in obtaining high quality diagnostic imaging and assists in the performance of procedures of an invasive nature that aid in the evaluation and treatment of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of angiographic and supporting procedural equipment and supplies in the department. Performs related functions according to department protocols, and utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices. Procedures performed primarily in the operating room environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships and conveys information clearly and consistently through verbal and written medium.
Analytical ability necessary to determine best method of providing requested test based on the specifics of each individual case.
Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Requires advanced registry in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or registry eligible for advanced certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI).
If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Radiographer- OR Advanced Procedures position.
Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
