The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of ChristianaCare- GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our ChristianaCare- GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers for analysis, diagnosis and treatment . Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of ChristianaCare- GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication .
Team Members hired into the RT New Grad Bridge program will be in a short-term transitional position designed for recent graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program who are awaiting state licensure and/or registration. During this period of time , the RT Bridge will support patient care and clinic operations by performing approved clinical and administrative duties within the scope of their current credentials and organizational policies. T hey will be hired into a Medical Assistant position to start, w orking alongside licensed Radiologic Technologists, and will support patient care operations and develop familiarity with radiology workflows and clinical processes to prepare them for independent practice upon licensure , as permitted by the scope of the
