Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages, under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain specific results.

Responsibilities include maintaining image quality, protecting patients from radiation, and supporting QA/QC in a collaborative imaging team environment. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are offered where eligible.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiography.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (IEMA).
• Certificate/Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately per guidelines and under radiologist direction.
• Ensures image quality with proper views, filters, collimation, markers and patient ID.
• Maintains patient comfort and radiation protection throughout the procedure.
• Troubleshoots equipment and supports QA/QC processes.
• Maintains clean, stocked work area and assists with lab testing as appropriate.
• Supports departmental operations and timely image/paperwork turnaround.

Responsibilities

ResponsibilitiesClinical ExcellencePerforms radiologic diagnostic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of medical imagingExhibits competency and is the resource person to staff when performing radiographic proceduresKnowledgeable about views required for each exam enhancing image quality through the use of appropriate filters, collimation, markers and patient identificationMaintains quality care throughout the procedure, making patient as comfortable as possible, practicing radiation protection through shielding and collimation whenever possibleProper care of the patient is efficient and expedientMaintains expert working knowledge of equipment and resource person for troubleshootingMaintains clean work area, checks and stocks all supplies in their specific area and verifies pertinent accessories to that roomPerforms lab testing as appropriate

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
