Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy and radiographic equipment during interventional procedures and spine surgeries.
• Provide precise imaging to assist physicians with needle placement and hardware positioning.
• Adjust imaging techniques based on physician preference and patient anatomy.
• Maintain procedural flow and radiation safety in clinic and surgical settings.
• Prepare procedure rooms using sterile technique and proper equipment setup.
• Assist with patient positioning to optimize imaging and access.
• Perform equipment quality checks and report malfunctions.
• Document imaging and procedural data accurately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, surgical techs, anesthesia, and physicians.

This role requires a strong clinical skillset, advanced fluoroscopic knowledge, and the ability to work closely with multiple physicians, each with distinct procedural preferences and techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced procedural and surgical environment.

Requirements

• Operate fluoroscopy and radiographic imaging equipment during interventional pain procedures and minimally invasive/endoscopic spine surgeries
• Provide precise imaging to assist physicians with needle placement, hardware positioning, and procedural accuracy
• Adjust imaging techniques based on physician preference, patient anatomy, and procedural requirements
• Anticipate physician needs and maintain procedural flow in both clinic and surgical settings
• Maintain strict radiation safety standards for patients and staff
• Prepare procedure rooms, ensuring proper sterile technique and equipment setup
• Assist with patient positioning to optimize imaging and procedural access
• Perform equipment quality checks and report malfunctions
• Maintain accurate documentation of imaging and procedural data
• Support turnover efficiency between cases

Summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification (required)
• State radiology license (as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional pain, spine procedures, or surgical fluoroscopy preferred
• Strong knowledge of C-arm operation and radiation safety
• Experience in operating room or procedural suite setting preferred
• BLS certification
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume procedural environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Ability to learn and retain multiple physician-specific workflows
• Commitment to patient safety and comfort
• Combination of outpatient procedure suite and surgical setting
• Exposure to radiation (proper safety protocols followed)
