Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Chicago, IL. The position reports to the Manager of Radiology with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, no weekends. MOR offers competitive pay, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include patient prep, radiologic imaging, PACS/EHR usage, exposure factor adjustments, and adherence to radiation safety standards. Required ARRT and IEMA certifications, with DR/CR and fluoroscopy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited X‑Ray Technologist Program.
• ARRT Certification required.
• IEMA Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiologic procedures and take x‑rays following safety protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of PACS, DR and CR radiologic equipment.
• Use C-Arm where appropriate.
• Prepare medications for and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Maintain radiology rooms and stock needed medical and radiologic supplies.
• Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust exposure factors based on patient factors and body area requested.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures and assist with fluoroscopic exams.
• Process images and ensure proper identification and quality control.
• Enter CPT codes into EHR for billing and notify manager of malfunctions.
