Job summary

Onvida Health at Yuma Regional Medical Center is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, ensure safe exposure, and position patients for radiographs. You will work with Radiologists and the care team to deliver accurate imaging and quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree or equivalent program, ARRT Radiography (R) certification, CRT, and BLS, with no required prior experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree OR graduate of AMA, JCERT, or equivalent program.
• 0 years of experience.
• Basic Life Support (AHA).
• ARRT Radiography (R).
• Arizona Department of Health Services Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergent radiologic examinations and procedures with proper history-taking and consent.
• Explains procedures to patients and positions them for views with immobilization and shielding.
• Collaborates with Radiologists, Interventionalists, and team to ensure coordinated services including other modalities.
• Maintains radiation safety and dose control, minimizing exposure for all patients.
• Mentors newly joined radiologic technologists, agency staff, and students.
• Ensures proper inventory control and prudent use of resources as directed by leadership.
• Maintains equipment and addresses maintenance needs to ensure reliability.
• Adheres to on-call and rotation scheduling at established sites.
