Qualifications

• One to five years experience as a staff technologist preferred.
• ARRT (R) required.
• BLS Certification following American Heart Association guidelines required (no other cards accepted).
• CRT license required, fluoro permit required within 6 months of start date.
• Able to maintain a positive professional manner in dealing with many individuals and situations.
• Able to organize and maintain good follow-up.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Director of Imaging and Radiologist to supervise and perform radiographic examinations.
• Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and ensures quality and continuity of patient care.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service programs; takes responsibility for ongoing continuing education.
• Instructs and trains ancillary personnel and assists with cross training of other x-ray personnel.
• Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements.
• Maintains and troubleshoots lazar printing equipment and PACS.
• Maintains patient flow and coordination of other imaging procedures; maintains records.
