Job summary

KAISER in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks a Radiologic Technologist II - Call-In to perform and assist radiologic examinations across departments, including OR and ED, while maintaining safety and efficiency. You will operate radiology systems, coordinate with radiologists, and ensure patient care is compassionate and accurate.

A Hawaii-licensed radiographer with ARRT certification and BLS is required, with preferred trauma/fluoroscopy experience.

Qualifications

Minimum one year (2,080 hours) general radiology experience as a registered technologist.
Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years directly related experience.
Hawaii Radiographer License required at hire.
ARRT Certification required at hire.
Basic Life Support (AHA) required at hire.
Preferred: trauma, fluoroscopic, and surgery experience.

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic examinations according to departmental protocols within diagnostic imaging, OR, ED and patient rooms.
Operates general radiology, fluoroscopy and portable imaging systems; communicates with Radiologists and nurses as needed.
Ensures patient safety, privacy and data entry accuracy; identifies patients and reviews orders and histories.
Prepares sterile fields, contrast agents, and maintains supplies for procedures.
Post-processes images and transmits them to PACS; cites fluoroscopy times and ALARA measures.
Rotates on-call responsibilities and mentors new personnel as needed.
