Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Radiology Technologist II to perform routine diagnostic radiographs and assist with minor interventional procedures under radiologist supervision.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration, and SC licensure; a current BLS is required, ACLS preferred. This is a 24-hour per week, hourly position within MUHA.

  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
  • Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and rotate.

Job Description The Radiology Technologist II performs routine diagnostic radiographs and is responsible for performing minor interventional procedures under the supervision of a radiologist and/or licensed fluoroscopic supervisor.

Minimum Training and Education Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Minimum of 1 year work experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Additional Job Description Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: At least two years of modality specific work experience required. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Skill Set: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
