Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment to produce radiographs for diagnostic purposes as directed by Radiologists.
• Assists physicians and clinical staff with obtaining images and records using Radiology PACS/HIS.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
• Delivers reliable customer service in all aspects of the role.

Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining images and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.**What you will need:*** High School Diploma or GED* Associate’s degree, preferred* IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or “notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation”* At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school.).
