Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams and support exceptional patient care. You will operate radiographic equipment, position patients safely, and adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards to ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

You will collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers, verify orders, maintain EMR documentation, conduct equipment QC checks, stock supplies, and uphold infection control.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging exams.
• Position patients safely and assist with positioning for optimal imaging.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards to minimize exposure.
• Ensure high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers; verify orders.
• Maintain detailed documentation in the EMR; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform equipment QC checks and assist with room readiness.
• Stock supplies and uphold infection control protocols.
• Mentor junior technologists and support training initiatives.
• Contribute to a patient-first, team-based, and learning-focused environment.
