Job summary

Advocate Health's Navicent Health Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, document patient history, verify identity, and assist radiologists. You must be ARRT-eligible with completion within 1 year, and BLS certification.

The role requires physical stamina, good communication, and the ability to position patients and operate equipment accurately.

Qualifications

Major Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.

Certification / License

• M ust be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Handles equipment and monitoring supplies.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.
• May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment.
• Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients.
• Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary.
• May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
• Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
