Job summary

CAMERON HEALTH in Angola, IN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic procedures and participate in patient care according to department policies. This full-time night shift role requires strong attention to safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Radiology certificate or diploma, a current Indiana Radiologic License, and BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire. On-call duties are part of the rotation.

Shift

FTE 0.8 (64 hours bi-weekly), Full-Time 2nd Shift (7 on, 7 off with every other weekend (Two 12-hour shifts on weekend)).

Summary/Objective

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

Essential Functions
  • Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes
  • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
  • Required to be on call per department rotation
Experience
  • One year of experience preferred

Education
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program
License
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health Radiologic License upon hire.
Certifications
  • Registered in one (1) ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists discipline
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within one (1) month of hire
