Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist I to perform routine radiographic procedures and support advanced imaging in Surgery and Fluoroscopy. You will position patients, adjust equipment, and ensure safe, high‑quality imaging for radiologists.

The role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and teaching students from the School of Radiology while maintaining safety protocols and efficient department operations.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
  • Registered in Radiography (R) within 3 months (ARRT).
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA).
  • Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology.
  • Associate's Degree: Related Field.
  • Work Experience as required.

Responsibilities

  • Positions patient and adjusts equipment, secures, and immobilizes support devices as needed.
  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient’s condition.
  • Secures history from patient and records for radiologist review.
  • Assists radiologists with fluoroscopic and invasive procedures.
  • Operates portable radiographic equipment and C-arm in patient rooms, ICU, and surgery.
  • Initiates emergency medical support as indicated by patient condition.
