Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images that help Radiologists diagnose and manage patient conditions. You will perform X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT, and MRIs while actively engaging with patients to ensure a positive experience.

You will master imaging workflow, patient positioning, and techniques to capture precise results.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience.
• Active ARRT registration or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area based on physicians' orders and department protocols.
• Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques to ensure that results are consistent.
• Cleans equipment after each use.
• Delivers patient care for all age groups during radiologic exams/procedures and/or special procedures.
