Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System seeks a Radiologic Technologist to acquire diagnostic radiographs for all imaging procedures in the OR setting. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and timely documentation while complying with radiation safety and infection control standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiology program, ARRT Radiography certification within 3 months of hire, and Texas MRT certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
  • None required as experience.
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Texas MRT certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR card or obtain during orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality radiographs for basic and complex exams, adapting techniques per patient condition.
  • Complete exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner.
  • Enter accurate patient data into the electronic health record and manage contrast administration if applicable.
  • Explain procedures to patients and obtain history pertinent to the exam; answer questions.
  • Maintain equipment and perform QA checks; report maintenance needs.
  • Assist physicians as needed and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient workflow.
