Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, and position them for X-rays and other exams. You will minimize radiation exposure while adhering to shielding protocols and ensure accurate records are maintained for seamless care coordination.

Under direct supervision, you will support physicians by producing high-quality images and by following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.

Responsibilities

• Follows physicians' instructions regarding imaging areas.
• Talks patients through procedures to ease anxiety and aid understanding.
• Positions patients and adjusts imaging equipment to obtain quality images.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Follows proper techniques and shielding to ensure accurate, reliable imaging services.
• Completes required documentation for each procedure to maintain proper patient records and communication among providers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
