Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist Trainee to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under supervision, ensure image quality, and uphold safety standards. You will maintain room readiness and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing exams, protecting patients with proper protocols, documenting procedures, and assisting with teaching activities. Shift options include days, evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program; ARRT registry eligible; AS degree preferred.
• Connecticut license required within 120 days; CPR within 6 months.
• Proficiency in routine radiography and CR/Digital imaging; strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work Days/Evenings/Nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following protocols and age-specific standards.
• Operate radiographic equipment under supervision to ensure quality results.
• Prepare exam rooms; maintain safety, cleanliness and supplies.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation and accurately record patient charges.
• Mentor students and new technologists as part of teaching activities.
• Strive to achieve department patient satisfaction targets.
