Qualifications

• Completion of a 24 month AMA-approved course in Radiologic Technology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographs for diagnostic purposes under supervision.
• Maintains cleanliness and stock in the radiology department.
• Assists in training department personnel and students.
• Prepares patients for radiographic examinations and positions them accordingly.
• Assists radiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Ensures patient safety and effective communication with patients and staff.
• Operates radiology equipment and prepares electronic images for interpretation.
