Job summary

Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic in Peoria, IL seeks a Licensed Radiologic Technologist to support invasive, diagnostic, and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures. This role requires completion of a Radiologic Technology program and certification, BLS, and ACLS within a year.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist with Radiography certification, BLS and ACLS within one year.
• Completion of Radiologic Technology program.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, imaging and electrophysiology concepts.
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive coronary, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures, ensuring sterile technique.
• Operate imaging, electrical, and physiologic monitoring equipment; interpret hemodynamic data and EKG results.
• Administer moderate sedation, recognize complications, and collaborate with physicians and team members for optimal patient care.
• Maintain equipment safety, perform quality assurance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and manage digital archiving of images and reports.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, document procedures accurately, and support research activities when needed.
• Participate in continuous education, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects to enhance patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient education, promote customer satisfaction, and support team collaboration.
• Manage billing charges and coding accurately, ensuring compliance and minimizing errors.
