Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Iowa Permit to Practice - Radiography (or eligible) is required.
• Iowa Permit to Practice is required.
• Health care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Position and immobilize patients for examinations.
• Review images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort.
• Take patient histories and document procedures.
• Document patient data and manage paperwork for exams and protocols.
• Provide training or instruction to auxiliary personnel or students.
