Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring a Mobile Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray imaging across Norwalk, Stamford, and Fairfield. The Mobile RT collaborates with Medical Providers and Assistants to deliver timely radiologic services and reports results for patient care.

Requirements include a Radiologic Tech program graduate, ARRT registration, state licensure, BLS, and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Tech program is required.
• ARRT registration and state licensure are required.
• BLS certification is required at time of hire.
• Valid state driver’s license with MVR background check.
• Previous clinical radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray services for patients across assigned sites.

• Travel between Norwalk, Stamford, and Fairfield sites to provide X-ray services.
• Assist in documenting controls, calibration, and QA/QC logs.

Position Summary

The Mobile Radiologic Technologist ("Mobile RT") works with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of our patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for patients, including performing patient x‑rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Mobile RT will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

The Mobile RT works across sites near one another. As patient care needs arise requiring X‑ray, the Mobile RT travels to the respective site. The traveling nature of this role requires the Mobile RT to be flexible and responsive to the needs of patients and the organization. The Mobile RT will be exposed to a variety of urgent care settings, maximizing the quantity of X‑Rays performed. Travel within the region includes by car, and will require the Mobile RT, as a condition of employment, to have access to a vehicle, a valid State driver’s license, and to pass an MVR background check.

Key Responsibilities | Responsible for x‑ray services as needed

• Under the clinical direction of the Medical Provider, perform x‑ray services for patients by applying x‑ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
• Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
• Travel between multiple sites to provide X‑ray services
• Will need to push patient in a wheelchair
• Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.
• The traveling nature of this role requires the Mobile RT Driving to be flexible and responsive to the needs of patients and the organization.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma (required)
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Tech program (required)

Certifications (Required at Time of Hire):

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
• Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Must pass MVR background check

• Previous clinical experience preferred
