Job summary

Valor Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Washington County. The role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, three weeks of PTO, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will collaborate with a PACT team and VA partners to develop patient care plans, perform diagnostic imaging, maintain records, and support clinic operations while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited radiology program and ARRT certification.
  • Minimum one year of radiology experience in a clinical setting; government/VA experience preferred.
  • Must be credentialed and in good standing with the VA.
  • Must hold a valid unrestricted license in the state of employment, or as required by VA contract.
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS as required) and maintained per VA contract.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English with strong EMR skills.
  • Safety sensitive position and compliance with all VA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging with appropriate equipment.
  • Operates EKG and other diagnostic devices for routine tests and treatments.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records in VISTA/CPRS.
  • Keeps treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies clean and ready for use.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains medical records; supports front desk tasks.

Position Overview

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, as directed by physician or mid-level provider. You will collaborate with the core PACT Team (Primary Care Provider, RN and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team including family/caregiver, VA, and community-based services involved in developing the patient care plan.

Core Responsibilities
  • Performs diagnostic testing with equipment that utilizes various forms of energy waves.
  • Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment to administer routine diagnostic test and treatments.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records of services rendered in VISTA/CPRS.
  • Cleans treatment rooms, equipment and supplies using approved manufacture wipes and/or solutions.
  • Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, perform secretarial/font desk tasks, and complete Means Tests for patients.
  • Will maintain clinic in a safe and comfortable environment for patients, guests, and employees.
  • Completes any and all clinical reminders "due" at the time of each patient visit.
  • May assist with front desk for check-in, check-out, and phone coverage.
  • Assists in co-managed care collaboration with non-VA providers, and facilities.
  • Maintains confidentiality of veterans\' data and information.
  • Complies with all VA and company training requirements.
  • Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Joint Commission(JC), Environment of Care (EOC) oversight, lab compliance and other related items.
  • Remain focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes through the specified VA guidelines.
  • Must provide excellent customer service to each veteran, both in person and over the phone, as well as to fellow colleagues and clinic visitors.
  • Participate in the clinic\'s outreach events to help support the clinic\'s enrollment initiatives.
  • Support patient enrollment and retention in appointments, follow-up visits or nurse visits.
  • Embrace and support new initiatives, whether clinical or operational.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited training program radiology technicians and certification by the applicable professional organization, ARRT.
  • Minimum one-year experience within the last 3 years as a radiology technician in a clinical setting; government healthcare environment preferred. Specific requirements could vary based on individual VA contract.
  • Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Must comply with and maintain all requirements for a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment, or in any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (must be renewed periodically as specified by the certifying agency AHA valid for two years, e.g.) and in ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor
  • This is considered a safety sensitive position.
