Qualifications

  • Experience radiology experience (Preferred)
  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification and CPR/BLS required upon hire from AHA/ARC/AHA approved organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologists in performing radiologic imaging procedures.
  • Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.
  • Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors.
  • Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care.
  • Follows ALARA principles according to policy.
  • Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards.
  • Reports variances.
  • Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation.
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.

Location & Salary

Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $28.90 - $39.78/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Up to 10K Sign-On Bonus!!



Overview

The Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.

  • Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiology (R) Upon Hire (Required) and CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required)
