The candidate should have strong problem solving and communication skills and be capable of working as part of a team to deliver quality patient care. This Direct Hire, Full-time position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus, diverse imaging duties, and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences.
• Licensure/Registry: ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license.
• Experience: 2 years preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Skills: strong problem solving and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with imaging department policies and ISTAT procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set acquisition factors and position patients for optimal images.
• Follow radiologist protocols and evaluate image quality.
• Adhere to imaging department policies and patient identification procedures.
• Document protocol changes on requisitions and ISTAT usage as required.

Job description

Radiologic Technologist - Days / Evenings FLEX

• Direct Hire

• $15,000 Sign on Bonus
• Location: Ithaca, NY
• The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for a multitude of Dx radiography imaging exams. Employee will be knowledgeable and dedicated to radiation safety. Employee will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff with an emphasis on quality service and excellent patient care. Employee must be self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work as a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department procedures and protocols.
  • Capable of setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality.
  • Capable of positioning patient for optimal images.
  • Capable of following Radiologist protocols for specific exams
  • Capable of evaluating images for quality.
  • Capable of accurately following physician's instructions.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department policies.
  • Consistently follows patient identification policy.
  • Understands the correct exam needed and patient factors
  • Documents any changes/variation to protocol on requisition.
  • Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked)

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education: Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program
• Experience: Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.
• Licensure/Registry: ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license.

P referred Skills and Experience:

• Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
• Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Location: Onsite at Medical Center - Ithaca, NY (Finger Lakes region)
• Shift/Schedule: Full-Time Days/Evenings, FLEX. Anticipated schedule of three (3) 12-hour shifts or or four (4) 10-hour shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays.
• Travel Requirements: 0%-5% Local area travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure:

• Standard Rate of $32.00 to $50.00 per hour plus benefits
• Shift differentials offered for evenings, nights and weekends according to schedule
