Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on safety and quality. You will move, position, and operate radiographic equipment, monitor patient condition, and maintain infection control standards in a busy radiology suite.

Required are ARRT registration, CPR certification, and 1+ year of radiology experience or new graduate from accredited program; the role includes day shift, with a 10k sign-on bonus for eligible

Qualifications

  • Associate or higher in radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT RT(R) certification and CPR.
  • 1+ year radiology experience preferred or new graduate.

Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 7050 GALL BLVD City: ZEPHYRHILLS State: Florida Postal Code: 33541

Shift: Wednesday- Saturday 1230pm to 11pm 10k Sign on bonus for eligible candidates, Relocation Bonus also available for eligible candidates

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.

Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.

Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.

Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.

Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.

Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma

Previous Radiologic Technologist experience [Preferred]

One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers

Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately

Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry

Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment

Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging

Responsible to maintain all required continuing and annual education

Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions

Ability to determine appropriate technical factors

Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety

Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds

Adult/and child/infant CPR [Required]

Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail

Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians

This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality

The ability to communicate and receive instructions, verbally and written and carry them out as directed

Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy

Comprehensive knowledge of general radiographic procedures

Education

Associate [Preferred]

Bachelor's [Preferred]

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience: 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program

Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.94 - $44.53
