Job summary

Mountrail County Health Center is seeking an X-ray/CT radiology technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires ND licensure, AART certification, and BLS, with opportunities for on-call shifts and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including x-rays and CT scans with accuracy and efficiency according to provider orders and established protocols.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and forward studies to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Ensure adequate equipment and supply inventory levels are maintained.
  • Ensure patient safety while performing all duties and responsibilities, including maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff and yourself.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring safety standards and quality control are met, report any issues, and arrange service when needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient imaging appointments, maintaining an organized workflow.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and exam logs.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all other healthcare regulations.
  • Perform on-call services as needed, including rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Know and comply with Residents' and Patients' Rights rules.
  • Maintain Patient Confidentiality and protect Patient Information.
  • Attend and participate in orientation, training, mandatory education, in-services, staff meetings, and education courses as instructed to further improve knowledge and skills, including Incident Command System training (ICS) for emergency preparedness.
  • Treat Patients, Residents, Visitors and Co-workers with kindness, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Promote teamwork; encourage others to work to the best of their ability.
  • Have a positive attitude; be willing to accept change; follow facility rules, regulations and job assignments; accept suggestions for work improvement; cooperate with other managers and administration and show respect at all times; speak well of company and job.

  • Experience Requirements:

  • Experience is preferred but not required
  • CT and/or Mammography certification preferred but not required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Moderate amount of walking, stair climbing and standing
    • Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients
    • Lifting: up to 35 pounds
    • Ability to communicate with patients, residents, families and personnel
    • Ability to Remain Calm Under Stress
