Job summary

The Advanced Center for Surgery in Vero Beach is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a per diem role with a two days weekly minimum. The position involves performing radiographic procedures including IV/contrast, orthopedic, pediatric, OR radiology, trauma imaging, and related duties under physician guidance.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT registered, CPR current, and have 1–2 years of C-Arm and portable X-ray experience in an OR setting, with knowledge of applicable regulations.

The Advanced Center for Surgery in Vero Beach is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Vero Beach, performing outpatient procedures in General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic/Reconstruction, Podiatry, Robotic Total Joints, and Spine.

The Per Diem - RadiologicTechnologistwill perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures. Maintains a professional relationship with physicians and staff. NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO CALL

Required Experience:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
• AART Registered and CPR Current.
• 1-2 years experience in C-Arm and Portable X-rays in an operating room setting.
• Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
• Must possess independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
