Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging in hospital and clinic settings across multiple Sunnybrook, Mt. Talbert, Mt. Scott, Rockwood and Gateway offices. The role involves portable and fluoroscopic exams, patient registration, and on-call duties.

The ideal candidate has an AMA-approved radiology program, current ARRT certification, and Oregon licensure, with BLS eligibility and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 month of hire.
  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire.
  • Oregon Radiologic Technologist License required at hire.
  • Completed AMA approved program in radiology technology.
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging and health care computer systems.
  • Familiarity with fluoroscopy, surgery, portable exams and routine radiographic exams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiological procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical and fluoroscopic exams per department policies.
  • Image processing and RIS/PACS usage; work under radiologist supervision as needed; assist with QA and exam clarification.
  • Handle patient registration, patient scheduling, and transport; restock supplies and clean work areas.
  • Participate in on-call or standby schedule as required; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Eligible for float pay- $2/hour differential!

To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include clerical duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment. Using skills and abilities required for age of patient served to include: routine, emergent, portable, surgical and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Image processing. Understands, use the current RIS and PACS system. Work under the supervision of radiologist on an as needed basis. Work with radiologist: on film Quality Assurance, exam clarification. Perform ECG (As required).
  • Patient/transport. File work. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Responsible for patient registration and patient scheduling.
  • Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required. Other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Registration
  • Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire
Additional Requirements:
  • Completed AMA approved program in radiology technology.
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment, Imaging and health care computer system.
  • General knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, surgery, portable exams and routinely radiographic exams.

  • Professional experience as a Radiographer with variety in imaging.
