Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for East Jefferson General Hospital in Louisiana. You will perform imaging exams with x-ray equipment, explain procedures to patients, and ensure high quality images while maintaining safety and throughput.

The role requires ARRT and CPR certification, a Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license, and 3–5 years radiology experience. Evening shifts are available, with a patient-centered focus and ongoing collaboration with radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical skills in use of x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures and high-quality exams.

• Recognize and respond to emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action.
• Input and verify data in PACS/RADIANT.
• Maintain safe environment and quality control checks; ensure continuity of care and efficient throughput.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others as needed.

Your Everyday Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in use of all x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures and producing high quality exams. Explain procedure to patients/families and answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns. Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome. Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed. Maintains supply levels. Clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, immediately report dangerous conditions to the appropriate person. Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone and follow all quality control checks. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient. Contribute to the team by assistingothers without being asked.

The Must-Haves Minimum: ARRTandCPR certification. State of Louisiana Radiology Technologist license. Preferred: Three to five years radiology experience.
