Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Enfield is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to support high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include performing x-ray services and preparing patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
• Applicable state licensure as Radiologic Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray services for patients of all ages under direction of clinical provider.
• Position patients accurately and protect them during exposure.
• Prepare patients for imaging, including interviews, recording medical history, and conducting vitals.
• Perform point-of-care tests such as flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, and HCG when needed.
• Collaborate with providers to select appropriate imaging views.

Job Responsibilities

• Radiologic Services
  • Perform x‑ray services for patients of all ages under direction of clinical provider.
  • Position patients accurately and protect them during exposure.
  • Prepare patients for imaging, including interviews, recording medical history, and conducting vitals.
  • Perform point‑of‑care tests such as flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, and HCG when needed.
  • Standardize radiographic controls to produce clear diagnostic images.
• Patient Preparation & Rooming
  • Inform technical staff of patient flow; push patient in wheelchair when required.
  • Verify patient information and emergency contact details.
  • Escalate critical vital signs to provider.
• Administrative Duties
  • Maintain and scan medical records; update electronic file systems.
  • Conduct courtesy call‑backs for patient follow‑up.
  • Perform daily equipment controls, calibration, QA/QC logs, preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets.
  • Document procedures and report results to medical providers.
• Operational Support
  • Collaborate with providers to select appropriate imaging views.
  • Maintain clinic operation flow; support team members.
  • Explain procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Equipment & Safety
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning of X‑ray equipment, and manage supplies.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
  • Verify image quality and send to radiologists for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience
  • Clinical experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications
