Wellstar Martinez Clinic in Augusta, GA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. Technologists are essential members of a collaborative care team and contribute to a compassionate, excellence‑driven environment.

The role includes a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule with a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Wellstar offers PTO, mental health support, wellness resources, and career progression

Qualifications

• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsabilités

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust technique to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Maintain infection control, clean and disinfect rooms/equipment.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol.

Required Qualifications

• Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience
• Experience preferred, not required Less than 1 year entry level up to 5 years experience as Rad Tech Preferred
• Certifications
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, adjusting technique to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevate issues to the supervisor.
