Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Radiologic Tech I to perform routine X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including support for OR cases. This PRN role requires being on-call and participating in holiday rotation, delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.

The position expects graduates of approved education programs, with ARRT-R and CMRT credentials, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer certification required.
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist with Texas licensure required; must obtain Texas Medical Board license within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required (or Instructor)

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy.
• Provides direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special procedures and maintains patient safety standards.
• Operates hospital information systems to document exams and charges.
• Maintains ALARA principles to ensure patient and staff safety and supports quality control.
