Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks a Technician - Radioisotope Processing to support isotope production for the 4501 Operations Group within MIIPS of IPMD. You will participate in radiological operations, work with hot cells and gloveboxes, and assist scientists and technicians to meet production demands using ORNL facilities like HFIR.

Qualifications

• AS degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in isotope production activities in a radiological facility.
• Work with nuclear materials in hot cells, gloveboxes, and radiological fume hoods.
• Assist with chemical and radiochemical laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians to solve problems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality programs.
• Coordinate radioactive and hazardous waste disposal.
