Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and established protocols.
- Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment and systems to ensure quality images and efficient workflow.
- Provides basic patient care and support before, during, and after procedures.
- Completely required documentation and performs departmental clerical duties.
- Protects patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental performance initiatives.
- Assists with the orientation of new employees and supports students during clinical rotations.
- Maintains a safe environment by following radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies.
- Collaborates with Radiologists, providers, and other healthcare team members to support quality patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist (RRT) license or temporary license required.
- ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at the time of hire.
- Candidates who are not ARRT certified at hire must obtain ARRT R.T.(R) certification within one (1) year of employment.
