JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed

Principal Accountabilities:

• 1. Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
• 2. Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
• 3. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
• 4. Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
• 5. Monitors need for procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
• 6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
• NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Relevant Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiographer or relevant area.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.
