Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, assist radiologists, and perform fluoroscopic and surgical radiographs. This full-time role at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital requires attention to patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to department standards.

The position requires an accredited Radiology Technology program graduate, ARRT licensure or eligibility, CPR certification, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills required.
  • Basic understanding of RIS/HIS systems and computer knowledge.
  • ARRT Registered or registry eligible; IDNS Licensed; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as directed by physician.
  • Maneuvers portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery.
  • Assists radiologists in fluoroscopic examinations and in surgery.
  • Performs radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients as needed.
  • Maintains imaging quality and adheres to safety standards.

Skills

ARRT Registered or registry eligible

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
Certificate or Assoc. Degree in Radiology Technology
Previous experience is desirable
