Job summary

CORE Group is seeking a skilled Radio Operator to support a deepwater drillship in the Gulf. You will manage GMDSS and radio systems, maintain logs, and coordinate movements of helicopters and crew to ensure safe offshore operations.

Responsibilities include emergency communications, drills, weather monitoring, and close collaboration with bridge and offshore leadership to maintain continuous connectivity and safety across all marine activities.

Qualifications

• Offshore experience required, drillship experience strongly preferred.
• USCG MMC with GMDSS endorsements.
• GMDSS Operator certification and STCW-compliant medical.
• Mandatory safety credentials (BOSIET/FOET/THUET, TWIC, passports).
• Foreign flag credentials as required.

• Operate and monitor GMDSS and radio communication equipment to ensure continuous, reliable communication.
• Maintain accurate communication and radio logs for operational and safety purposes.
• Coordinate helicopter and personnel movements, supporting offshore logistics.

• Assist with crew logistics, documentation, and other related tasks as required.
