Job summary

Jobtailor in Denver, CO is seeking a DAS/RF engineer to design and optimize distributed antenna systems (DAS) using iBwave and related tools.

You will conduct surveys, analyze benchmark data, prepare BOMs, validate designs, and collaborate with project teams to deliver compliant, constructible systems.

Requires 3+ years DAS experience, proficiency with iBwave, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and RF test equipment, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Wireless Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with iBwave, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with RF test equipment: sweep testers, PIM analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scanners, test phones, CW generators.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/construction drawings.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to obtain manufacturer certifications as required.
• Minimum 3 years of DAS experience.
• Experience with public safety DAS/ERCES systems preferred.
• Familiarity with major wireless carriers and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize iBwave to develop DAS solutions that meet applicable codes, compliance requirements, and constructability standards.
• Analyze benchmark data and import findings into iBwave to validate system design objectives
• Produce and review Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Conduct site surveys and collect benchmark data in accordance with company standards
• Identify and document site conditions relevant to the development of accurate and constructable system designs
• Develop and execute system test plans based on project scope of work (SOW)
• Capture required test data and installation photos to verify system performance and installation quality
• Troubleshoot DAS systems and validate overall system functionality and performance
• Ensure permit sets and construction drawings contain accurate code and construction details consistent with approved designs
• Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and sales personnel to ensure successful project delivery
• Support project managers by directing the technical execution of assigned projects
