Job summary

ProMedica's Flower Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Radiation Therapist Technician to deliver prescribed radiation therapy, position patients, and explain procedures. You will collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires an associate degree in Radiation Therapy, Ohio Radiologic License, and ARRT/CPRP certifications, with 1+ year of experience preferred. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for external candidates.

Qualifications

Age-appropriate care: Applies the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across all age groups (infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
Patient sensitivity and competence: Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of all patients while delivering care.
Radiation therapy administration: Delivers prescribed doses of radiation therapy, positions patients, answers questions, and explains procedures as needed.
Collaboration and coordination: Works with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff, and physicians during treatment, coordinating support services like social work and dietary.
Safety and quality assurance: Maintains department policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards, and participates in process improvement efforts.
