Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients, primarily for cancer therapy, using linear accelerators and related equipment.
• Accurately position patients and immobilization devices to ensure precise targeting of tumors.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment while adhering to treatment plans and safety protocols.
• Verify treatment parameters, dosage, and patient identity prior to each session.
• Monitor patients during treatment for physical reactions and emotional distress.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff.
• Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records and documentation.
• Perform quality assurance checks and report equipment or safety issues promptly.
• Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety standards, regulations, and infection control policies.
