Responsibilities

Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Setting up and treating patients.
• Documentation of treatments.
• Patient management.
• Patient education.
• Evaluation of patient needs.
• Resource consultant in clinical situation.
• First level member of management team.

Qualifications

• Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e., TJC) appropriate for position.
• 2-4 year degree in ARRT approved radiation therapy program.
• Current Certified Radiologic Technologist License.
• Current ARRT (maintain current at all times).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).
• Knowledge of record and verify computer programs.
• Expertise in all of the various forms of treatment procedures in own department.
• Ability to communicate well with patients and co-workers.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a high pace treatment environment.
• Able to convey a sense of calm professionalism to the patient.
• Troubleshooting skills regarding treatment parameters (problem solving).

Compensation

$49.69 - $77.02 hourly. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
