Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Kentucky seeks a Radiation Therapist to provide therapeutic patient care as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. You will deliver treatment plans, operate the linac and related equipment, and work closely with the oncology team.

Responsibilities include accurate patient positioning, ALARA principle adherence, and collaboration with dosimetrists and physicists. 0.5 FTE, Monday–Friday, 7:00–4:30, with organizational safety and compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Science required at hire.
• BLS basic life support within 90 days of employment.
• Licensure/certification as RT(T) required upon hire; ROC certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist/physicist.
• Evaluate patient response and report adverse reactions.
• Position patients accurately and ensure precise treatment techniques.
• Maintain ALARA and minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Verify prescriptions and patient consents; ensure chart completeness.
