Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation treatments under supervision, perform CT-simulations, and create immobilization devices. The role involves daily record-keeping, patient instruction, and collaboration with medical staff in a dynamic oncology setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an AMA-approved radiation therapy program credential or equivalent, be ARRT registered or eligible, and possess NY license with solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA-approved radiation therapy program or equivalent.
• ARRT registered or eligible within 8 months or 2 exam sittings.
• NYS license (permanent or temporary).
• Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up patients for treatment and perform CT-simulation.
• Administer radiation treatments and maintain daily treatment records.
• QA and safety checks; verify prescription with Radiation Oncologist.
• Explain procedures and reassure patients, maintaining communication during treatment.
• Maintain organized treatment rooms and assist with scheduling.
• Perform daily QA and equipment logs.
